Canadian Friends Host Foreign Affairs Minister

TAU supporters Merle and Bernard Stotland hosted a CFTAU reception in October with guest of honor, John Baird, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. Some 80 dignitaries, community leaders and friends of CFTAU attended the elegant reception, chaired by CFTAU National President, Barbara Seal, CM, in support of the Stephen J. Harper Chair. Among the guests were the Honorable Irwin Cotler; Senator Leo Kolber and Ronith Kolber; Consul General Ziv Nevo-Kulman; Margaret and Sylvan Adams; Emmelle and Alvin Segal; Monica and Mike Yuval; Dr. Karen Buzaglo and Alexandre Abecassis; and Donald Seal, Q.C. During his eloquent address, Minister Baird reiterated Canada’s unwavering support for Israel, and stated how proud he had been to attend the Honorary Degree Conferment Ceremony in January 2014 where Prime Minister Stephen Harper was awarded an Honorary Doctorate.
