Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As we enter the Campaign’s ninth year, we can all celebrate last year’s endeavors, in which we raised the largest ever amount in a single year: $90 million. This success is a testament and tribute to your ability and determination, and is especially inspiring in a period marked by economic, social and political turbulence and disruption. Despite everything, our supporters still chose TAU for their philanthropy. We’ve received major donations for COVID-19, business, environment, cancer, Jewish studies and much more. We’re also seeing how the Campaign underlines the importance of the connection between Israel and world Jewry.

For this reason, I am confident that we will reach our goal of $1 billion by the end of the Campaign in 2023.

We have $145 million more to raise in cash and pledges; now is the time to renew energies and ideas. We need to think outside of the box, seek new avenues for partnership and enlist new visionaries.

I have full confidence in you, TAU’s development team, to swiftly and enthusiastically accomplish this task. Throughout my career, I have worked with many development professionals, and you are the best, hands down.

I want to take this opportunity to wish my former co-chair Dafna Meitar-Nechmad, a true change-maker, the best of luck in her new position as Chairwoman of TAU’s Board of Governors.

In the coming year, may we enjoy continued success in our joint mission to strengthen Israel’s impact and position in the world through TAU. I have no doubt that we will continue to inspire each other and take tremendous pride in the University’s outsized contribution to humanity.
