Argentinean Friends Convene in Punta del Este
The Argentinean Friends held its flagship summer event in Punta del Este in January. The theme for this year's event was "The Challenges of Our Time: Political, Social and Cultural."
Over 2,000 participants were welcomed to the event by President of the Argentinean Friends and TAU Honorary Doctor Mrs. Polly Mizrahi de Deutsch. TAU Vice President for Resource Development Amos Elad spoke of the University's achievements, breakthroughs and future challenges.

Keynote speakers TAU Honorary Doctor Marcos Aguinis and Dr. Santiago Kovadloff gave an insightful analysis of current political and social affairs in Latin America and the Middle East.
Following the discussion, TAU Governors Miriam and Adolfo Smolarz generously hosted a festive luncheon with guest speaker Dr. Luis Alberto Lacalle de Hererra, former President of Uruguay and TAU President's Award recipient.
