TAU alumnus Dror Moreh, director of the 2013 Oscar-nominated documentary "The Gatekeepers," was the special guest at a function held by the Israeli Friends of TAU in February. Attendees were treated to a screening of the documentary followed by Dror's inside scoop on its making.

Moreh is a graduate of the Department of Film and Television at the Yolanda and David Katz Faculty of the Arts, and is the fourth graduate in five years to be an Oscar nominee. The department has cultivated many of the leading producers and directors in the Israeli film and television industry who are also making their mark internationally.

In congratulating Moreh on his impressive achievement, TAU President Joseph Klafter remarked that "as the value of the degree increases, the University produces a more successful alumni community. As the success of our alumni grows, with graduates such as Dror, so does the reputation of the University, and its ability to influence and contribute to future generations and society in general."
