In another milestone for TAU's world-renowned Department of Film and Television in the Lester and Sally Entin Faculty of Humanities, the Helene Westreich Film and Television Studio was recently inaugurated during Tel Aviv University's annual Board of Governors Meeting.

Already operational, the state-of-the-art, high-definition Helene Westreich Film and Television Studio includes all the professional equipment needed by students to produce polished film projects, including a control room, three industry-standard cameras and more.

William F. Cohen, Chairman Emeritus of American Friends of Tel Aviv University, and Gail White, both members of AFTAU's Board of Directors, generously provided the funds for the studio in loving memory of their late mother Helene Westreich (pictured left) — philanthropist, humanitarian, and patron of the arts. Through their support, Westreich's children are playing a critical part in propelling TAU's ever-growing Department of Film and Television forward, which is widely-acknowledged as the leading creative force behind Israel's flourishing cinematic industry.
