Ruth Weintraub studied mathematics and philosophy at the hebrew University in Jerusalem, where she earned her B.A. in 1978. She earned her Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of London in 1987.
She is an associate professor in the philosophy department at Tel-Aviv university.
She works primarily in epistemology, rational decision and paradoxes. Her other interests are relativism and meta-ethics
