Professor Ofra Goldstein-Gidoni

Prof. Ofra Goldstein-Gidoni is an anthropologist socializing in Japan. She teaches in a joint position in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology (Chair 2010-2013) and the Department of East Asian Studies. Goldstein-Gidoni’s current research focuses on family, gender, "new fathers" (ikumen), househusbands and Breadwinning women and the balance between family and work in Japan.

Research Interests

Social and Cultural Anthropology, Society and Culture in Modern Japan, Gender and Family, Family and Work and Cultural Globalization.
