I started from television history, in France, then in Europe, then global, with a focus on policy and formats. I move to general media history, especially comparing between technology. I researched visual media (television, cinema) and collective memory in France and Israel, using mostly , the life-story method. I research Western representations of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in news and other journalistic genres (including cinema reviewing of Israeli and Palestinian movies). I am currently writing a book on a history of presence at a distance (telepresence), from correspondance to computer-mediated communication.
