Main Regulations of Tuition Fee for Bachelor’s Degree
1. In an expanded track program of studies in which the studies for a bachelor’s degree are continued in a standard manner for 3 years and the number of standard hours for a degree is 120 semester hours, the tuition fee percentage will be calculated as follows:
Total tuition fee for degree – 300% = 100% annual tuition fee x 3 years
Tuition fee percentage per semester hour – 2.5% = 300%: 120 semester hours
Annual normative study program in this department, as defined above, is 40 semester hours
(40 semester hours = 120 semester hours: 3 years)
A student studying in a program of 40 semester hours a year will pay 100% tuition fee in this year
(100% = 2.5% x 40 semester hours)
A student studying in a program of 35 semester hours a year will pay 87.5% tuition fee in this year
(87.5% = 2.5% x 35 semester hours)
A student studying in a program of 44 semester hours a year will pay 110% tuition fee in this year
(110% = 2.5 x 44 semester hours)
2. If a student is studying in two programs of study, the tuition fee percentage will be calculated for a semester hour by dividing the total tuition fee for a degree by the total hours for a degree in both programs together. For example, if in one of the programs the number of standard hours for a degree in a double major track is 60 semester hours and in the second program 74 semester hours, the total standard hours for a degree is as follows:
134 semester hours = 74 semester hours + 60 semester hours
The tuition fee percentage for a semester hour for a student studying in these programs will be as follows:
2.24% = 300%: 134 semester hours
3. The scope of studies requiring a tuition fee of less than 50% annually:
For example, students whose tuition fee percentage for a semester hour is 2.5%, and who studied 15 semester hours a year, will pay 47.5% tuition fee in this year, according to the following calculation:
1) 37.5% tuition fee = 2.5% x 15 semester hours
2) 47.5% tuition fee = 10% surcharge + 37.5% tuition fee.
