Exams During Lockdown

15.9.20 - Update from TAU Vice-Rector

Dear students,
The Israeli government has decided to declare a countrywide lockdown, starting Friday, September 18, 2020. Following this decision, we will not be able to hold any in-class exams scheduled to take place before the end of the lockdown.

TAU's various academic units will notify their students of alternatives, as follows:
As a rule, exam dates will not be postponed. Exams will take place at the prescheduled time, with the in-class format replaced by either an online exam or another assignment (Each unit will decide how these exams/assignments should be graded - either numerically or pass/fail).

An exception to this rule are entrance exams and sorting exams that cannot be taken online. These exams will be postponed to a later date. Students will be notified of the new date as well as decisions concerning their admission for the 2020-21 academic year. A notice about learning formats in the 2020-21 academic year will be issued separately in the near future.

Let me take this opportunity to wish all of our student's good health and a happy new year.

Regards,
Prof. Eyal Zisser
Vice Rector
