Biography

Dr. Rachel Wilf Miron is a graduate of the Sackler School of Medicine, board certified in Pediatrics and Medical Administration and holds a MPH degree from the Hebrew University (all with distinction).

Dr. Wilf Miron has established and directed two community-based adolescent health clinics. Lessons learnt were summarized in a unique professional guide on "Why and How" to establish and evaluate youth health centers.

Dr. Wilf Miron has also established and directed Patient Safety, Quality Management and Equity Promotion at the Central Administration of Maccabi Healthcare Services. The activities of the multidisciplinary group that she guided, contributed to the creation of an organizational culture of quality, safety and equity.

Dr. Wilf Miron has developed and is currently coordinating 3 academic courses - Quality Management in Healthcare (MHA students); Reducing Health Inequalities (MPH) and Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles: The Physician's Role", for medical students.

Since 2012, she is the founder and CEO of "Healthy Living", an Israeli program, led by Ananey Communications, which has recruited its creative minds and media platforms, such as the Health Channel and MTV Israel, to brand the healthy behaviors as attractive and fun. Documentation of "Healthy Living in ORT".

In 2015 Dr. Wilf Miron was invited by the Israeli Medical Association to develop and execute a nation-wide digital survey that examined health–related behaviors among Israeli physicians. She is currently the responsible PI of a nation-wide research exploring health promoting behaviors among Israeli nurses and their association with organizational environment, burnout, job satisfaction and quality of care. In November 2016 the study has received a 2-year grant by the Israel National Institute for Health Policy Research.

Dr. Rachel Wilf Miron has also served as the academic director of a unique and novel online course (19 TED-like short lectures) in Quality and Safety in Healthcare. The course in part of the Israeli Medical Association's "Online University". Launched in November 2016.

Dr. Rachel Wilf Miron is also the founder and the director of "Healthy Living in the City" a community-based model that utilizes the new media platforms to increase implementation and scalability. Its core element is a social sport application, allowing users to create, lead and search group exercises in their neighborhood. Partnership with local authorities allows to tailor the activities and messages to the characteristics and needs of the community while utilizing local resources and creating an enabling city environment.
