About
Founded in 1980, the Austrian Friends of TAU now number over 300 members. The Association established projects at TAU in the fields of cancer research and medicine, music, physiology, biotechnology, astronomy and physics, as well as provided student fellowships.
The Association also promotes joint projects with TAU. It places emphasis on scientific exchanges between the two countries, realized through many long-standing collaborations between Austrian universities and TAU. These strong ties are symbolized through one of TAU's entry points to campus, aptly named the "Austria Gate." Significant milestones include collaboration agreements with the Vienna Comprehensive Cancer Center and Medical University of Vienna.
