About
The Kazakhstani Friends Association was established in 2015 with the purpose of promoting Tel Aviv University in Kazakhstan.
The Association's mission is to support the achievements of Tel Aviv University through a variety of cultural, social and educational activities. These include student exchange programs, conferences and symposia, promotion of cooperation agreements and academic ties between Tel Aviv University and Kazakhstani institutions of higher learning, and publication of the University's research innovations in the Kazakhstani media.
Leadership
President: Dr. Alexander Machkevitch
Dr. Machkevitch has been appointed founding President of the Kazakhstani Friends. Initially an academic, Dr. Machkevitch is a prominent businessman and investor. He has held many leadership positions including President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, and is active in Jewish causes worldwide.
