Research Collaborations

Solidarity mission from leading US universities

International cooperation ensures the free flow of expertise – the lifeblood of global academia – and thus underpins academic and scientific progress. However, in the wake of the Israel-Gaza war, academic institutions across the world have either frozen or cut links with Israel universities. The only way we can counter the increasing isolation is to raise private funding to encourage & support exchange and collaborations.

Target: At least one more joint research program with a prominent international university at 15 TAU schools within 5 years.

Naming Opportunities

  • International Post-Doctoral Fellowship Fund: Post-docs provide the most expert and high-quality research assistance to faculty members than any other type of student, driving forward both publications and external grant funding. TAU’s 5-year target is to increase the number of overseas post-docs at TAU from 180 to 350 annually.

  • Joint Research Projects with Universities Abroad: Donors may enjoy the opportunity to launch programs connecting TAU researchers with their own alma maters/home institutions. Multimillion dollar joint centers of this kind are being funded by donors at TAU today in smart cities, bioinformatics and brain studies.

  • Chair for Visiting Scholars: A vital means of bringing prominent researchers to TAU to teach students and build new academic relationships.
