Lowy International School
The Lowy International School has been significantly expanded and recast as the hub for all international activities at TAU – study programs, research partnerships, student exchange, visiting scholars and conferences. The school is enabling TAU to share Israeli know-how with the world, strengthen the connection of young Diaspora Jews to Israel, and cultivate non-Jewish Israel advocates. TAU seeks to further expand, enrich and diversify enrolment and programming at the school.
Target: Creating at least 10 more degree programs taught in English, preferably with top international partners, within the next 5 years.
Naming Opportunities
- ELI Gap Year Program Scholarship Fund: Short for Exploration, Leadership and Innovation, TAU’s new ELI gap year program focuses on cultivating academic excellence and leadership skills among high-achieving Jewish students.
- Columbia-TAU Scholarship Fund supporting the Dual BA Program in Liberal Arts: Bringing the prestige of the Ivy League to TAU, this pioneering program must give out substantial scholarships to succeed. Students will spend two years at TAU followed by another two at Columbia and will receive BAs from both universities.
- Master’s and Undergraduate Programs: We have 22 English-taught undergraduate and master’s degree programs ranging from Middle Eastern Studies and Archaeology to Conflict Resolution and Diplomacy & Security Studies. Prices are varied.
- Graduate Student Exchange Fund: Will enable PhD and post-doc exchange between TAU and the donor’s home university for periods of 3-6 months, on a competitive basis, with the goal of strengthening long-term research ties.
- International Scholarship Fund (BA, MA, PhD and post-doc levels): Will help TAU attract the top candidates from abroad and diversify the student body; could target the donor’s home country.
