Talking Entrepreneurship in Spain
TAU Ventures Managing Partner Nimrod Cohen spent several successful days in Madrid, promoting the University and its venture capital arm that he helped found. Among his stops was a talk to a group of 70 MBA students and would-be entrepreneurs at IE Business School, one of Europe’s leading academic institutions. Guests included Israel’s ambassador to Spain, Daniel Kutner and Co-President of Spanish Friends, Isaac Querub.
Ambassador Kutner and his wife, Shirley, hosted an intimate group of 20 guests for breakfast where the attendees shared their insights on Israel and its startup landscape. Cohen spoke about his background and the advantages of studying at TAU while a member of the Spanish Friends expounded on the Association’s scholarship fund.
Cohen also participated in an event hosted by Imaguru Startup HUB, a community of technology experts helping budding entrepreneurs navigate the start-up world. In his presentation, How to Find Financing, Cohen shared insights on the challenges of raising capital for early stage ideas. He then judged a contest where groups with startup ideas gave a 90 second “elevator pitch.” The winner was a Fintech from Estonia.
