The Tel Aviv University rowing team beat their opponents from the Weizmann Institute by 12 seconds in Israel’s first university boat race in June. The 1,000-meter race took place on the Yarkon River in Tel Aviv, with TAU’s rowers completing the course in only 3:59.31 minutes.

The rowers trained at the Daniel Rowing Centre for several months prior to the race, which was managed by TAU’s Elite Sports Center. Both teams look forward to making the race an annual tradition in the centuries-old style of British and American varsity rowing races.
