We are interested in understanding the social-ecological mechanism affecting biodiversity, environmental sustainability, and human health. We are devising novel ways to analyze trends and relations in spatial context for these subjects. For these purposes we apply Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote sensing, Spatial statistics, Land cover land use change modeling, Agent-based modeling, and systematic conservation planning tools
