Shmuel Ellis received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Tel Aviv University in 1985. During the years 1985 – 1988 he was on the faculty of the Open University of Israel and during the years 1990-1992 he was a visiting assistant professor at the Sloan School of Management, MIT. Shmuel Ellis is currently the chairperson of the department of undergraduate management and academic director of the Organizational Consulting Program. His main areas of interest are learning from experience, organizational learning, knowledge management and organizational genealogy and social networks. During the last decade Shmuel Ellis is involved in various research projects investigating the evolution of the ITC, cleantech and VC industries in Israel. Shmuel Ellis won several competitive grants and he serves on the editorial board of European Management Review.
