Research Interests - Plastic Reconstructive and Regenerative Medicine

A. Personal Statement

My clinical interests include plastic reconstructive surgery and reconstructive microsurgical techniques for limb salvage. My research interests focus on Vascularized Composite Allotransplantation (VCA) immunology and cryopreservation.

BContributions to Science

1. My research has primarily focused on VCA immunology and cryopreservation. My contribution to the selected peer-reviewed publications includes the study design, microsurgical operations, and manuscript preparation.

2. Over the last six years, my research has mainly concentrated on Rat microsurgical models that simulate composite soft tissue and complete hindlimb transplantation which I have adapted and performed clinically. I have been intimately involved in the study design, animal work, immunological studies, teaching and manuscript preparation.
