Operation “Roaring Lion”- Students Update

As of March 3

02 March 2026

Dear Students,

We hope that you and your loved ones are well and keeping safe in these tense and turbulent times.

Following our message of March 1, 2026 regarding examinations and assignments, and in light of the many inquiries we have received, we would like to provide you with a detailed update at this time.

As a general rule, examinations will not take place as long as there is no change in the Home Front Command guidelines and the University has not announced the resumption of exams. An official announcement regarding the resumption of examinations will be issued as soon as conditions permit. In any case, notice of the resumption of exams will be given one week in advance to allow you adequate time to prepare.

In coordination with the Student Union, we agreed that once it becomes possible to hold examinations on campus, the exam schedule will be revised according to the following two principles:

  1. Examinations will begin no sooner than one week after the official announcement regarding their resumption on campus. For example, if we announce this coming Thursday that exams will resume, the first exam will take place on the following Thursday, March 12.
  2. All examinations will be postponed as a single block and rescheduled, insofar as possible, according to their original order in the exam timetable. That is, on the first day of resumed examinations, the exams that were canceled on March 1 will be held; on the second day, those that were canceled on March 2; and so forth.

The updated examination schedule will be published by the faculties immediately after the decision is made to resume on-campus examinations.

The postponement of examinations also applies to assignments in the same manner, unless the faculty has approved an additional extension.

Further updates will be provided as necessary.
