"Roaring Lion” — Update on Exam Dates and Assignment Deadlines

Dear Students,

The recent days have been characterized by great uncertainty. Since the Home Front Command guidelines have been extended until Saturday night, we will not be able to begin and hold exams in the upcoming week starting on March 15. At this stage there is also no certainty as to when we will be able to hold them.

Alongside this uncertainty, it is important for us to clarify two things:

1. The Spring Semester will open as per the previously published update- on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
2. The Fall Semester exam period will be completed, as exams are an essential part of the learning process and are a prerequisite for the continuation of studies and graduation.

Below is a detailed breakdown of the above decisions and additional updates regarding the continuation of academic activities:

• Exams:
• As mentioned, at this stage we will not be able to hold exams in the upcoming week starting March 15. If the Home Front Command guidelines change, we will update you regarding exams to take place during that week. In any case, no exams will be held Sunday through Tuesday of that week.
• Once it becomes possible to hold exams, we will provide at least 4 days' notice before the start of exams. We are aware that our previous announcement stated one week's advance notice. However, this change is due to the shortening of the academic calendar and the need to reschedule all exams.
• We will stick to the principle that exams will be scheduled, as much as possible, in accordance with their original order in the exam timetable.

• Assignment submissions:  New submission deadlines will be published by the faculties.
• Seminars : The submission deadline for Fall Semester seminar papers has been postponed to Monday, May 11, 2026 (instead of April 19, 2026).
• Calendar : Spring Semester will open on April 12, 2026 and will end, as much as possible, on July 7, 2026. Further changes to the calendar may follow. Please note that some international programs have a different schedule- updates will be provided by program coordinators.
