TAU signs agreement with New York-based CA Technologies to set up a joint Innovation Center on topics such as IT management and cyber-security
As part of TAU's ever-growing collaboration with industry, TAU President Joseph Klafter signed an agreement with New York-based CA Technologies to set up a joint CA-TAU Innovation Center on topics such as IT management and cyber-security. This is the third global R&D center that CA has established with an academic institution, following ones at Stony Brook, USA, and Hyderabad, India. The agreement continues the University's recent drive to develop the cyber field, including recruiting star faculty.
"The goal of the partnership is to provide opportunities for TAU faculty and students to work with CA Technologies experts on research and development, offering our students invaluable work-related experience through internships and other projects," said TAU President Joseph Klafter. "Working alongside CA Technologies will give our students competitive edge through hands-on experience addressing real business and IT problems, and by supplementing their classroom learning with access to leading-edge technologies, tools and mentoring."
"Through our university partnerships, motivated, hardworking and energetic students gain an incredible amount of experience that will better prepare them to be future leaders and innovators in the workforce. In turn, we benefit from insights and ideas that can unlock new ways of solving our customers' challenges, potentially leading to new offerings in the future," said Bill McCracken, Chief Executive Officer, CA Technologies.
