Tel Aviv University President Prof. Joseph Klafter personally presented Ruth Ziegler with a certificate marking 10 years since the establishment of TAU’s Ruth and Allen Ziegler Student Services Division at her home in Bel Air.

Mrs. Ziegler’s commitment to philanthropy and to higher education, along with her devotion to supporting students from all backgrounds and sectors of society, is reflected in the decade of care and dedication the Ruth and Allen Ziegler Student Services Division has extended to some 80,000 students at Tel Aviv University. The Student Services Division has provided 16,000 undergraduate students with tuition and housing scholarships and its tutors have contributed more than 50,000 hours of academic enrichment. As a result of their involvement at the Student Services Division, TAU students have provided more than 1 million hours of community service. In addition to financial aid, tutoring and social involvement opportunities, the Ziegler Division provides student welfare services, psychological services, career planning and job placement, diagnosis of learning disorders and special assistance to reservists, effectively meeting the varied needs of TAU students.

Upon presenting Mrs. Ziegler with the certificate of recognition, Prof. Klafter thanked her for her meaningful contribution to the welfare and success of Tel Aviv University students.
