Spanish Friends Welcome TAU to the Andalusia Region
The Spanish Friends of TAU organized a series of events at the luxurious seaside town of Marbella, Spain. As part of a festive three days, TAU representative for the Andalusia Region Patricia Nahmad organized a series of events attended by top TAU officials President Joseph Klafter, Vice President Amos Elad, Senior Resource Executive for Latin America and Spain Herman Richter, and President of the Spanish Friends and TAU Governor, Isaac Querub.
In his keynote speech to a conference attended by over 200 participants, Prof. Klafter spoke on the topic of inter-cultural connections and the role of Israeli academia and TAU in building bridges of shared knowledge, understanding and hope between nations and within society. Amongst those attending were the Hon. Consul of Israel in Andalusia, Raphael Cohen, diplomats from the US, Morocco, Costa Rica and Panama, representatives of the University of Málaga, and new members of the Spanish Friends.
