TAU Vice President of Resource Development, Amos Elad, recently welcomed a trade delegation from Brazil that was led by Prof. Marcos Pereira, Minister of Industry, Trade and Services, and accompanied by the Brazilian ambassador to Israel, Paulo Cesar Meira de Vasconcellos.  The purpose of their visit was to better understand how Israel has been so successful in leveraging its expertise in applied science to develop its industrial base.

After an overview of TAU from Herman Richter, Senior Resource Executive, Latin America and Spain, the group learned about two of the research projects currently underway at the university.

The presentations were given by Dr. Uri Nevo, Head of the Laboratory of Cellular Biophysics, & Imaging, Department of Biomedical Engineering; and Prof. Noam Eliaz, Founding Chair, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, both from the Fleischman Faculty of Engineering.

Mr. Shlomo Nimrodi, CEO, Ramot at Tel Aviv University Ltd., discussed how TAU brings its scientific knowledge and promising new technologies to the marketplace.
