Join us on Science Night!

On September 19th TAU will open its doors to the public with lectures, exhibitions, demonstrations and more.

15 September 2019

It’s almost here! Science Night, a yearly event that takes place across academic institutions in Israel as well as in Europe, and opens the doors of science and research to the general public.

Tel Aviv University will open its doors on September 19th to everyone interested in the disciplines we study, and offer an opportunity to meet leading scientists from diverse fields, get a sense of how they do their work, and even experience some of it in person.

This year, TAU will host its 14th consecutive Scientist Night, which will turn the campus into a literal festival of ideas, with science experiments and demonstrations for all ages, exhibitions, lectures, and even a trivia competition! If you’ve ever watched a trivia game at home and wondered how far you’d get if you were one of the contestants, join us outside the Central Library at 7pm for a game hosted by Itay Herman, one of Israeli TV’s most famous trivia masters.

All of the activities will be open to the public free of charge, although some will require registration in advance. Although the events will take place in Hebrew, the outdoor activities where our scientists will interact with visitors will offer a chance to speak to them one-on-one and English speakers will be able to ask questions and hear explanations in their native language.
