A delegation from the Mexican Embassy in Israel, led by new ambassador, Benito Andion, and accompanied by the Counselor of Economic and Commercial Affairs, Javier Basulto, visited Tel Aviv University. They met with Prof. Ilana Gozes of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Shachar Richter of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and explored the laboratories at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. As part of their tour on campus, the group visited the Sourasky Central library and Mexico building, both generously donated by Mexican supporters of TAU.

TAU President Joseph Klafter and Ambassador Andion discussed various possibilities for academic collaboration between Mexican institutions and TAU at a meeting attended by TAU VP for Resource Development Amos Elad, and Mexican Governors Guillermo and Mery Swerdlin, Arie Dubson and Roberto Klachky.
