International Foundations Officer
Full-time IMMEDIATE OPENING
The Development and Public Affairs Division of Tel Aviv University is looking for a highly motivated and experienced fund-raiser and grant proposal writer to research, develop and build relationships with charitable foundations worldwide.
This is a full-time (100%) position, working from the office at TAU. It is not a work-from-home position.
Job description:
- Research and develop ties with charitable foundations throughout the world
- Collaborate with the University leadership and international Friends Associations to secure major gifts
- Help formulate and implement a fundraising strategy for foundations
- Prepare, edit and submit grant proposals in English
- Track and send follow-up correspondence and reports on all grant proposals
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree at a minimum, master’s degree preferred in relevant field
- English at mother-tongue level (reading, writing and speaking)
- Good Hebrew
- A third language - a plus:
- Experience in markets beyond Israel & the USA – a plus
- Minimum 3 years' experience in direct fundraising from foundations
- Minimum 3 years' experience in grant writing in foundation format
- Proven track record of closing gifts of $100,000 and above
- Excellent communication, inter-personal and administrative skills
- Strong research skills
- Computer savvy; Excel
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a large international team
