Brain Studies: Re-imagining the Mind
Tel Aviv University is Israel's leading center for brain studies, pioneering new understandings of and treatments for devastating neurological disorders
At TAU, more than 500 senior scientists from diverse research fields are working together to answer complex and multifaceted questions on the brain. Researchers at the Sagol School of Neuroscience and the School of Psychological Sciences are translating their laboratory findings into effective treatment for neurological, neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders. TAU has more drug candidates in the pipeline for Alzheimer’s disease than any other university in the world and has developed six new drugs and therapies to treat ALS, insomnia, blindness and schizophrenia. Recently, TAU researchers were recognized for their exceptional work on the Human Brain Project, one of the most ambitious brain mapping initiatives to date, to which the EU will award 1 billion Euros over the next decade.
Help sustain and expand TAU's position as Israel's premier center for brain studies.
