About

A leading Israeli professional in social responsibility, fundraising and non-profit management, Amos Elad has been appointed Vice President for Resource Development at Tel Aviv University. He joins the University after working for the Chairman of the IDB Group, Nochi Dankner, from 2010 to 2013 in the area of humanitarian assistance in Israel's periphery. From 2005 to 2010, Elad held the position of Senior Division Manager in the Jewish Agency, responsible for resource development in Israel, the USA and Europe, including major gifts. Prior to that, at only 27 years of age, Elad co-founded and co-headed for 5 years a charitable organization, Meir Panim, that had 1,000 volunteers and set up a chain of food centers and household goods warehouses throughout Israel in cooperation with local municipalities.

 

Throughout his career in the non-profit sector, Elad has been regularly invited to speak at international events on the subjects of Israeli philanthropy and charitable giving.

 

Elad was born in Jerusalem and raised in Israel and the United States. He holds a BA in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In his IDF service, he served as an officer in the paratroopers, and today he is married and the proud father of three children.
