TAU offers linguistic help to international students

In today’s global world, the importance of foreign languages is at the forefront in higher education. Consistent with its emphasis on global research partnerships, and with its growing number of international undergraduate and graduate degree programs taught entirely in English, Tel Aviv University has recently launched a language center specializing in one-to-one tutoring in English as well as other foreign languages.

The Center for Language Excellence (CLE) at the Division of Foreign Languages, is the first of its kind in Israeli higher education. It caters to the language needs of both Israeli and international students as well as faculty and staff. For a nominal fee, TAU community members can improve their English writing, reading, speaking and conversational skills, as well as obtain one-on-one guidance on academic papers, theses, dissertations, oral presentations, professional CVs, post-doctoral applications, grant and fellowship applications, and more.

The sessions are given by experienced Tel Aviv University faculty and international graduate students. In addition to English, tutoring is available in other languages, including Arabic, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, and Turkish.
