Public Health: For the Global Good

Public Health

The outbreak of new diseases and the spread of existing ones are among the many challenges facing health care professionals worldwide; as a result, the study of public health has become more vital than ever. Building on Israel’s unique expertise, Tel Aviv University’s School of Public Health generates new ideas to meet local and global health needs.

Under the auspices of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Israel’s largest biomedical teaching and research complex, the School’s faculty members combine science, education and policy to research a broad range of topics, including emergency and disaster management, bioterrorism and infectious diseases. They collaborate with leading institutions such as the Harvard School for Public Health, Johns Hopkins and the Pasteur Institute, and hold key positions in influential international forums. The School’s popular Summer Institute brings professionals, scientists and students from the developing world to TAU to learn how to build, implement and assess public health strategies. Leveraging this momentum, the School is actively seeking funds to bolster its ongoing activities and launch new initiatives.

The School of Public Health offers several opportunities for donors who appreciate the global impact of high-quality public health education.
