Donor-Advised Fund

Introducing TAU’s Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

A Big Idea for Your Philanthropy:

TAU has established one of Israel’s first donor-advised funds (DAF), a rewarding and convenient way for you to continue supporting TAU and other Israeli causes that are important to you. The DAF, an endowment fund, provides TAU with a secure source of income for sustaining and expanding our frontline research, teaching and community engagement, so that we’ll continue to flourish and make an outsized contribution to Israel and the world.

TAU’s DAF allows you to donate and receive an immediate tax deduction, without having to decide right away where the gift will go. Meanwhile, TAU invests the gift and provides recommendations on where to allocate its yield. Sixty percent of the fund’s allocations go to TAU; up to 40% can go to similar charities.

Benefits

  • No Red Tape: No handling fees, complex administration or reporting – TAU manages everything from start to finish.
  • Tax Deductible: Donors receive immediate tax deductions.
  • Tailored Tracks: Donors choose one of three investment portfolios, according to risk level.
  • Socially Responsive: The donor can support the University and other eligible non-profit organizations.
  • Streamlined: DAFs are a cost-effective alternative to running a family foundation.
  • Privacy: Personal information and gift details are kept confidential.
