Prof. Dina Prialnik is the Vice-Rector of Tel-Aviv University and the incumbent of the Jose Goldenberg Chair in Planetary Physics. She graduated in physics and mathematics (B.Sc.) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and obtained her M.Sc. degree in physics at Tel-Aviv University. Her Ph.D. was awarded by Tel-Aviv University in 1980.
Prof. K. Prialnik's field of research is in Planetary Science, dealing with numerical modeling of solar system bodies: planets, satellites, asteroids and comets. She also works on the evolution of stars.
She was guest at a number of research institutes and universities, among which:
- Space Telescope Science Institute, Baltimore, USA
- Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS), Lindau, Germany

At Tel-Aviv University, Prof. K. Prialnik was Chairman of the Department of Geophysics and Planetary Sciences, chaired the Committee for Admission Affairs and served on many other committees.
She published over 100 scientific papers, edited books and presented her work at over 60 international conferences in 18 different countries. Her book entitled "An Introduction to the Theory of Stellar Structure and Evolution" was published by Cambridge University Press in 2000 and reprinted; the second edition appeared in 2010. A main-belt asteroid is named after her.
