Tel Aviv University and Northwestern University in the United States have signed an agreement to expand their academic cooperation. The agreement will allow for joint academic programs, greater collaboration between researchers, joint workshops, online courses, and academic exchange of students and faculty.

In addition to the currently existing programs at Recanati Business School and the Buchmann Faculty of Law, Northwestern University will also create joint programs with the Sackler Faculty of Medicine and collaborate with the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and Department of Film and Television at the David and Yolanda Katz Faculty of the Arts.

Additionally, the two institutions are examining the possibility of establishing a student exchange program with Northwestern University in Qatar, including the possibility of students from Qatar attending classes at TAU.

The agreement was signed during the visit of a large delegation from Northwestern University to the Tel Aviv University campus this week. The President of Northwestern University, Prof. Morton O. Schapiro, emphasized his desire to strengthen academic ties with Tel Aviv University due to its high level of academic research.

Vice President of Tel Aviv University, Prof. Raanan Rein, said the agreement was part of TAU's overall effort to globalize higher education in Israel, and goes hand in hand with TAU's standing as the Israeli university with the greatest number of international academic programs.
