Krill Prize awarded to TAU scientist

Dr. Irit Gat-Viks, of the George S. Wise Faculty of Life Sciences, has been awarded the Krill Prize for 2014.

Tel Aviv University's Dr. Irit Gat-Viks has been awarded the Krill Prize for 2014, for her work on revealing the molecular mechanisms underlying the basis of complex diseases. 

 

Six Krill Prizes for Excellence in Scientific Research are awarded annually by the Wolf Foundation to excelling faculty members at Israeli Universities who hold the untenured positions of Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer. Recipients are selected by the Wolf Foundation Scholarship Committee, from among outstanding candidates, submitted by all Israeli universities. The selection is made on the basis of the candidate's excellence and the importance of his or her field of research.

 

The award ceremony will take place on April 24th.
