Italian Minister of Education visits TAU
Italian Minister of Education, Research and Universities, H.E. Prof. Maria Chiara Carrozza, toured TAU as part of her visit to Israel.
The Italian Minister of Education, Research and Universities, H.E. Prof. Maria Chiara Carrozza, visited Tel Aviv University and toured its campus facilities as part of her visit to Israel. She was accompanied by the Italian Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Francesco Maria Talo, and a delegation of senior educators and researchers. As part of the visit they met with TAU President Prof. Joseph Klafter and TAU Rector Prof. Aron Shai.
"We hope that the minister's visit will serve as a stimulus for expanding research collaboration between Tel Aviv University and Italy in particular as well as with the European community in general," said Prof. Klafter.
The delegation also got a tour of of the university and its facilities and met with researchers and scientists conducting research in the fields of microbiology, neurobiology and biomedical engineering.
“We expect to increase our cooperation with Tel Aviv University in the fields of research and education,” Prof. Carrozza said at the end of her visit.
