U.S. News ranks TAU among top 150 global universities

A new ranking from U.S. News and World Report ranks TAU as the 148th best research institution in the world.

U.S. News and World Report has ranked Tel Aviv University as the 148th best research university in the world out of over 500 intitutions, in their inaugural "Best Global Universities Ranking," released on October 28th.  

 

Regionally, Tel Aviv University was ranked as the 18th best university in Asia, a higher slot than any other Israeli university received. In subject rankings, TAU was ranked 54th in the world in Computer Science, 71st in Space Science, 82ndin Biology and Biotechnology, 91st in Mathematics and 93rd in Psychiatry/Psychology.

 

The new ranking emphasized several indicators, among them research reputation and international collaboration. The ranking also emphasized "faculty productivity and prestige," according to U.S. News editor Brian Kelly.
